Check out 570 Jiu Jitsu: they have classes for adults and children and are located on the second floor here

My name is Scott Diggs.
I’m the owner and head instructor of 570 Jiu Jitsu.
I’m also a 30-year mental health professional.
Long before jiu jitsu was common in this area, I was traveling to learn it — not for trophies, but because I believed people needed something real. Structure. Discipline. Confidence that isn’t fake.
I eventually earned my black belt and in 2023 completed the Gracie University Instructor Certification Program. Today I am the only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt in the county.
But the belt isn’t the point.
I opened this academy because I’ve spent three decades working with people in crisis, with anxiety, with kids struggling socially, with adults who never felt capable. I kept seeing the same thing:
People don’t need motivation.
They need competence.
Jiu jitsu gives a child confidence they can feel.
It gives adults control under pressure.
It teaches calm, boundaries, and accountability in a way talking never fully can.
Yes — we are a real training academy.
Students who want to compete or test themselves have that opportunity.
But beginners start with fundamentals.
No one is thrown into sparring.
Everything is structured, step-by-step, and focused on safety first.
But more importantly, we build people.
If you’ve been thinking about starting — or you want your child to gain confidence, discipline, and resilience — this is exactly why 570 exists.
