Meet Avary — tailor, painter, and educator whose work bridges fine art and functional design.
From clothing alterations and custom garments to one-of-a-kind pieces, Avary brings deep craftsmanship to every stitch. She also offers one-on-one sewing lessons right here in her Pajama Factory studio, helping others gain confidence in making and repairing with their own hands.
When she’s not sewing, she’s painting. Her oil work explores texture, layering, emotion, and everyday life — a tactile sensibility that echoes her tailoring practice.
After four years honing her skills in NYC’s garment district, Avary is back home and pouring her creativity into our community. You can find her in the studio Monday–Friday after 2:30pm.
